Adam Fisher

With nine years of experience in specialist retail, Adam joined the company in December 2015. He brought with him a deep passion for high-quality audio and a wealth of knowledge from working with a wide range of manufacturers.

Audio reproduction has always been a passion since my very first hi-fi system using a Rega Planar 3, A&R Cambridge A60 and Wharfedale Evolution 8 speakers. Having improved my own system several times over the years to find the best reproduction for my music taste, all the way down to the cabling, it is easy to understand and appreciate that the finer details certainly can demonstrate big changes. Finding just the right system for my customers needs gives me a great sense of achievement and pride in what I do.

Antony Bunn-Major

Sales Consultant

Antony loves tinkering with computers, having built numerous media & streaming PC's for his own personal use. He is adept at setting up sophisticated audio & video systems. He's also becoming an avid vinyl collector again, mainly replacing records he sold whilst in the sixth form to fund buying CD's. A family man with three beautiful daughters to keep him on his toes, he's totally outnumbered at home and hence a man cave project beckons. Loves good coffee & a proper pint of beer.

Richard Bunn-Major

With a background in premium hotel management, Richard brings a wealth of experience to his role, having spent twelve years managing our Stratford-upon-Avon store. His extensive knowledge of customer service, refined during his time in the hospitality industry, has made him a highly respected figure within the town. Over the years, Richard has built a strong rapport with the local community, earning their trust  through his dedication to providing exceptional service.

His commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in every aspect of his work. In the store, Richard ensures that every customer feels welcomed, valued, and heard. He takes the time to understand their individual needs, offering personalised recommendations and guidance with a level of care and attention that is unmatched. Richard’s approach to customer service has earned him a reputation for excellence, and he continues to be a vital part of our team. His ability to create an inviting, professional atmosphere in the store has made it a trusted destination for both new and returning customers in the Stratford-upon-Avon area.

Richard operates from our Leamington Spa offices and has thirty years experience in premium consumer and professional audio markets, most recently managing Meridian Audio's UK sales business with an extensive list of partners including John Lewis Partnership, Ferrari GB and the UK's leading retail and installation specialists. With a keen eye for business, design and the customers experience of what we do, Richard brings a wealth of knowledge to the company.

As a co-founding partner, Phil plays an integral, hands-on role in the daily operations of the custom installation business. He strongly believes that being actively involved in the day-to-day activities is essential for maintaining the high standards of quality and service that Music Matters is renowned for. Phil views his personal involvement as a crucial element in ensuring the controlled, sustainable growth of the company while also preserving the exceptional level of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction that sets the business apart.

There is no doubt that Phil's personal approach and unwavering attention to detail have been key factors in the success of this area of the business. His commitment to excellence has not only contributed to the company’s reputation but also played a pivotal role in developing and nurturing strong relationships with clients. Outside of his professional life, Phil enjoys a busy family and social life, valuing quality time with loved ones. He especially looks forward to long summer breaks in Southern France each August, where he can unwind, recharge, and enjoy the serenity of the beautiful surroundings.

I thrive on the hard work and challenges the business brings to us. There is nothing more rewarding than meeting a clients expectations and genuinely exceeding what they had in mind, quite often at very little extra cost. Some of the technology we can introduce in to the home was the stuff of science fiction not that long ago. It's a real buzz when we go from the planning stage, putting it all together and seeing the customers face when the system is commissioned.

Rod is the highly personable and extremely likeable co-founder of Music Matters, having started the business alongside Phil more than twenty years ago. Often described as mildly eccentric due to his unique approach to both life and business, Rod has a sharp, tenacious business mind that has been crucial to the success and growth of the company. His contributions have been integral to shaping the company’s vision and strategy, particularly in the areas of business development and finance, where his expertise has helped guide Music Matters through its many years of growth.

Despite his sharp business acumen, Rod is known for his warm, sociable nature and love of engaging with others. He thrives in social settings and enjoys spending time with friends, family, and colleagues, always relishing good food and great conversation. His passion for music is also evident in his personal life, where he boasts a formidable high-fidelity sound system, reflecting his deep appreciation for quality sound. Whether enjoying an intimate dinner or hosting a gathering, Rod's enthusiasm for life and his generous, welcoming nature make him a memorable figure both inside and outside the business.

Phil and I have a great team of people around us which has enabled us to carefully expand our business from one to nine stores and grow the installation operation. The trade has presented many challenges in recent times, but the key has been to offer our customers the right products and services presented by personable individuals who have a genuine interest in what they do. This, I believe, has given us a distinct advantage in gaining a solid reputation with our customers who value our expertise. When listening to a Mahler Symphony at home, I'm reminded of why I joined this business - if music matters to someone there is nothing more rewarding than hearing it as if you were sitting in the concert. It really makes you feel good!
